A Shareholder’s POV

Blogging over at FanNation has really introduced me to a lot of interesting people.  DEVO is one of them.  He also happens to be a Green Bay Packers shareholder.  He recently wrote this blog detailing his experience at the recent shareholder’s meeting.  An excerpt:

“Here’s what I stated: ‘Look, I understand, we all do, about what Favre helped do to make the Packers a great team for so many years. But think about it this way. Lombardi quit the Packers to take a front office job, and after a year he left to go back east to coach the Redskins. He was a east coast man, and missed the old stomping grounds. He could have stayed and took over for Phil Bengston, but he respected the change, and he left anyway. We STILL regard Lombardi as a legend around here, Don’t we?! I don’t see his statue being vandalized out in front of the stadium…do you?! Favre is gone, and the sooner you get over it, the sooner we can look forward to the future, okay?’ “

People just need to step back and take a better look at this situation.

I understand you guys want to start using Rodgers, but doesn’t Favre still give you the best chance at winning another SB?

As a Packer Fan in West Texas, it’s simple. If Ted Thompson really wants to win this year, which is his job, he puts his ego aside and welcomes Favre back. Favre by far give Green Bay a better chance to win this season. Here’s some more thoughts from my blog.
