Favre Will Talk To Bucs

Favre A BuccaneerChris Mortensen just reported on Sportscenter Now that Brett Favre will most likely talk with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers today to talk about the possibility of a trade. This is starting to look like the Packers are forcing Brett to be traded rather than be released. Since the Packers were willing to give Favre $25 million to stay home they probably wouldn’t have an issue paying him this years and next salary while putting him on the inactive list. So now it looks like Favre will either be a Buccaneer, possibly be a Jet, or not play at all.

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy is scheduled to have a press conference at 6pm Eastern and is expected to have an announcement concerning Brett Favre’s future, which could include a trade to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Late Sportscenter (2am EDT), just reported that the trade to Tampa Bay is going to happen.  They state the early editions of the Tampa Tribune is reporting Favre will be a Buc by day’s end on Wednesday.  I know this is all happening while you are sleeping in Wisconsin at 1am CDT. Since I’m in Arizona, it is only 11pm and was still up to watch the late news.  Go Aaron Rodgers!! LOL
