I’m sure this was the moment you have all been waiting for. John Madden and Al Michaels have finally spoken about Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers. I know how excited everyone is. JS Online has it all here, but here are some of the snippets.
“It still does look weird,” Michaels said. “It’s Joe Montana in a Kansas City uniform. It’s Wayne Gretzky in a Los Angeles Kings uniform. It’s Michael Jordan in a Washington Wizards uniform. It’s that kind of a thing. It’s going to take a while to get used to, especially here in New York, seeing posters and a lot of stuff in the newspapers.”
Michaels actually sounds intelligent here. Madden takes the easy, ESPN-like way out:
“Who would you rather have, Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre as your quarterback or Aaron Rodgers and two rookies?” Madden said. “That to me would be easy. I mean I would (have) worked something out to keep him there.”
Fun stuff, kids.
