Tomorrow the Houston Texans make their first journey to Green Bay to take on the Packers at historic Lambeau Field. The Texans bring a 5-7 record into the game, identical to the Packers record. Unlike the Packers, however, the Texans are out of the playoff hunt, while the Packers are hoping for a miracle to win the division and get in to the playoffs. The Texans bring a potent offense with Sage Rosenfels and Matt Schaub leading the way at quarterback, while Andre Johnson is the big offensive threat. It looks like Al Harris will be in charge of defending Johnson, while Texans rookie Steve Slaton hopes to get the ground game moving. With 904 yards, Slaton will be gunning for 1,000 on a porous Packers run D. On defense, Mark Tauscher and Chad Clifton will be desperately trying to save Aaron Rodgers from the clutches of Mario Williams, who has come on as a fierce rusher for the Texans. This being said, I give the Packers the edge in a 27-17 victory that sees the Packers rush for 150 combined yards. Here’s some stuff from NFL.com to help with the preview:
There we have it. Go Pack Go!
