Jets Release Gun-Slinging Quarterbacl

The New York Jets cut ties recently with a gun-slinging, stubbled quarterback that plays the game with a childish enthusiasm.  The Jets were permitted to make this move by mortaging their future and drafting Mark Sanchez out of USC with the fifth pick in the 2009 NFL Draft.

The stubbled quarterback cost the Jets a playoff spot with his poor and reckless performance down the stretch of the 2009 season.

Rumor is that the quarterback would like to spend his time driving tractors and lawnmowers on a farm in southern Mississippi, but the Minnesota Vikings are a speculative destination, even more so now that Brad Childress has said that the Vikings have talked about said quarterback.

Also, Packers GM Ted Thompson is said to be the gun-slinger’s mortal enemy.

I don’t blame Brett for having issues with TT. The man is a control freak, blowing Brett off when he suggested trades that would have helped the team. No matter how you slice it, TT is no Ron Wolf. Whether you like it or not, the QB is the heart of the team, and you would have to be foolish to think that Tom Brady doesn’t exert his influence upon Belichick and the Pats. He wanted Randy Moss too. But the difference is that management worked with Brady to make it happen. TT never liked Favre!
