Wow, David…that was passionate. I do think that Vick could be a good QB, and I think you have some valid points there bud, but I think your last statement kinda throws the whole thing off. See, I would take Aaron Rodgers over Vick any day of the week. See, scrambling QB’s don’t win Championships. They create match up problems week to week, but they don’t get SB rings. Besides, Vick didn’t do well in the West Coast system that GB runs.

Now I will also disagree with our blogger and say that I think the most logical landing spot in our division is the Vikings. He could take some time to warm up the league behind either T-Jack, Sage, or dare I say it…Brett Friggin Favre. See I have nightmares about a Vick, Harvin, AP backfield for the Wildcat offense. I think if the Vikes wise up and persue Vick instead of Favre they have a larger SB window as well (even though I just said scrambling QB’s don’t win championships Vick would bring a more dangerous running attack, be able to stretch the field, and be an upgrade there as well). Vick should also be able to give more years to the Vikings than Favre at this point in their careers.

hello..take it from a die hard atlanta falcons fan,mike vick is not as bad as a qb as most try to make it..
1st off,this guy threw over 2900 yards in 2001,and rushed for over 400 the same year..dan reeves was the coach,and he gave vick a decent front line who were good at pass blocking,we had a o.c.who allowed a young vick to audible out of bad situations(gregg knapp and jim mora didn’t let him nor did they let matt schaub vicks backup who now starts for the texans to audible),and vick ran less because he had time to throw..

vick didn’t have to run as soon as the ball was snapped..
that was the problem under jim mora,its that our offensive line got worse every year..the feeling was that we could get players in other positions of need and because vick was mobile, we didn’t need to rush into him a line to better protect him..

2nd,before the dog fighting issues mike vick was never a problem with this team..

the flip off of the atlanta the fans?

there were 3 guys who were taunting vick and other players on the team after we lost to the saints..these guys were dressed in saints jerseys and other falcons players actually cursed back at the saints fans before they went into the tunnel,and vick flipped off those saints fans,not the falcons fans because the falcons fans were also getting into it with those same saints fans..im not agreeing with what he’d done,but,i think that this was blown up way too far..

the water bottle with the false bottom in the miami airport that a screener thought had a marijuana residue scent in it??

the miami police sqaushed that notion when they ran test on the bottle and found no traces of drugs in it..but people in the media found it neccessary to expand this story and make it bigger than it was after it was diclosed as a non story..

the dogfighting was the only issue with this guy..
he let things happen at his home and didn’t keep his “homies” in check..ALL VICKS FAULT!!

as far as his game?
he brings more to the table than any qb in the history of the game..he has to have a spy on him and most of the time he had 2 to 3 defensive linemen who would not rush and they would just stand there to prevent him from running,and,right there he would take 3 to 4 players out of the mix on defense..

but our o.c.could not reroute plays that would work for our team when this happened..

and last,vicks last year before he went to jail we played the redskins..we were driving in a close game down the field thanks to vick running for 30 years and passing for 45 on the drive..we had a 3rd and 9 from the 23 of the skins. vick summoned our wideout michael jenkins to go off script and run a post and turn it upfield and go for the end zone..perfect pass=touchdown! and the fox announcers were just ecstatic over the play calling it welled designed and smart..
after the game jenkins told the press that vick had him change his route,and that most players knew that the redskins knew what play we were gonna run,and he was glad that vick over rode the o.c.who was greg knapps,call..

this also shows that he knows the x’s and o’s of the game,he is a leader..

and as far as the running out of the pocket,remember that vick has never had a decent line since reeves left,and every since he left,vick would be running for his life as soon as the ball is snapped..

any team would be so lucky to get this guy as their qb..
