I got a request from the publisher to review Life After Favre. I saw the glowing reviews about the book from several writers and bloggers in the Packers nation. Having written extensively about the Packers in established sports blogs, a cosmopolitan perspective seemed missing about the ongoing saga about the post-Favre era, especially its national fan base with its divided loyalties. With great insight, humor, and pictures, the book tells a great story about this extraordinary team, its iconic town, and its singular fans coping with life in the quarterback Rodgers era in Packerland.

Summary: After an erratic start, QB Rodgers settled down throwing for 348 yards and three touchdowns while the Packers scored 27 unanswered points in explosive big plays to rout the toothless Lions 34-12. Summary: QB Rodgers ran for one touchdown and passed for one touchdown to help the Packers snap a 2 game losing streak and to beat the Cowboys 17-7.  The 3-4 defense had a solid game rising to its potential getting one interception, 2 fumbles, and five sacks to nearly shutout the Cowboys.

QB: Rodgers: Rodgers has solid statistical numbers with some bad spotty performances. He must improve in critical game situations and learn pocket presence. GRADE: B. Flynn: He has had little playing time, but appears to be a future good backup. GRADE: Inc.   GBPG GRADE: B-.
