Bye Week is Finally Over - Back to the Grind

Is it just me, or did it seem like an unusually long week?  No Packers game, not much news about the Packers, Packer players not hovering around twitter…. It was one boring week in the NFL.

Today the players should be back at work.  Preparing for another important division game versus the Minnesota Vikings.  Division games are always tough, but we went into the bye week on a roll, 3 great wins added to our standings, things seem to be coming together nicely.  My hope is that the Packers are still energized, ready to attack.  Players with injuries have had time to heal, players that were tired have had time to rest.

Sunday afternoon the Green Bay Packers will roll into the Metro-dome to take on the battered and team-challenged Vikings.  I say team-challenged because  11 weeks into the season and they still have many issues.  There doesn’t seem to be any chemistry within the team dynamic, there have been multiple rumors of the team’s distrust and bad feelings for the coach.  Even during the game last Sunday when the team was losing to the Bears, the camera panned the Vikings sideline to show team members laughing.  At 3-6; with their season on the line, it seems there would be more concern.

If the Packers are able to regain their post bye momentum and do the work this week to get back into mid-season form, they should come away with a big win.  Just one more step toward securing the NFC North division title.
