Justice is Served: Williams to Pro Bowl

By Kevin Gibson

Justice has finally been served — Green Bay Packers cornerback Tramon Williams has been added to the NFC Pro Bowl roster.

Williams, a fourth-year player who had 57 tackles and led the team with six interceptions during the regular season, replaces Philadelphia’s Asante Samuel, who withdrew because of a knee injury.

The Packers corner, who has three interceptions in the post-season as well as one returned for a touchdown, was one of a handful of Packers who could have or perhaps should have been included by voters, including quarterback Aaron Rodgers and linebacker A.J. Hawk. Other Packers on the NFC roster include cornerback Charles Woodson, outside linebacker Clay Matthews, safety Nick Collins and offensive tackle Chad Clifton.

The Pro Bowl appearance will be Williams’ first, but it’s a good bet it will not be his last.
