That seems to gesture decidedly lacking in compassion and humanity. Very sad. I am delighted that your connection to the Packers is getting you through such a difficult time in your life. I am sorry for your struggles, but am glad that you have found some comfort and solace -- and perhaps a community -- by following the team. I hope listening to Packers Therapy is, in some small way, a help in this regard. In one way I am jealous: The way you have connected to the Packers in a deep and visceral way that I haven't experienced in quite some time. Sure, I was delighted (and still am) by their run through the playoffs to the Super Bowl. But the deep joy and release you write about above...that was not part of my experience this time. We have struggled to start a family for six years. My father in law was diagnosed with late stage cancer and we learned about it on Father's Day. These and many other road blocks have made our year difficult. The last month has been so exciting and a complete distraction from all of that. He is not a loser, just someone who needed a distraction from his struggles. IMHO, sports is the best distraction and if anything can improve ones outlook. GO PACK GO!!!! Here is to 2011!!!!
