A look at Lambeau Field from the south end zone toward the north end zone.

Expansion of Lambeau will only make the best better

Expanding Lambeau Field?
That’s the question facing the 30,000 season ticket holders who were recently mailed surveys with various options this week. What results emerge from the answers submitted will certainly spell out a new future for fan viewing options at the gem of the NFL.
To me, whatever the Pack

ers do will only enhance the Lambeau experience.
Whether it’s adding 10,000 new seats to the south end zone, adding seats with backs and armrests, elevators and any other new look is fine.
Yeah, the prices will rise, but I feel the results will show that Packers fans will be willing to pay the price.
Is there a better time to do it? Certainly not. Coming off a championship is the best time with fan excitement at an all-time high and with the team already making the much needed improvements to the stadium video and sound system, the next logical step is to add seating to allow even more of the tens of thousands of fans on the season ticket waiting list a shot at the Lambeau experience.
Packers vice president of administration was previously quoted as saying on the team’s website, “These are concepts we’re testing and we want to get feedback. What’s appealing to people? What amenities are they interested in? The goal is to add additional modern amenities while preserving the historic look and feel of Lambeau Field.
So, for those of you who haven’t seen some of the details, here is the rundown as previously published:
Besides the improvements fans are asked about a one time user fee.
The first option given is:
Full season ticket (10 games): $3,000 one time user fee
Green package (7 games): $2,100 one time user fee
Gold package (3 games): $900 one time user fee
Single game tickets: $33 per seat per game on top of ticket prices
The second is:
Full season ticket (10 games): $2,750 one time user fee
Green package (7 games): $1,925 one time user fee
Gold package (3 games): $825 one time user fee
Single game tickets: $30 per seat per game on top of ticket prices
The third is:
Full season ticket (10 games): $2,500 one time user fee
Green package (7 games): $1,750 one time user fee
Gold package (3 games): $750 one time user fee
Single game tickets: $27.50 per seat per game on top of ticket prices
According to the survey, the proposed expansion would include a new façade and entry gate at the south side of the stadium. In addition, the concourse areas would be equal in size of the newly built NFL stadiums and there would also be more concessions and restrooms.
So, Packers fans is this something that may be of interest?
We’ll find out soon enough.
