To date it has been too political for my taste. Calls for "new" state taxes to embarrass Republicans into breaking their "no-new-taxes" pledge and a referendum "waiver" for the "host" community's contribution just won't fly. I think the fate of the Vikings in Minnesota will come down to a vote of Ramsey County voters over the funding of a retractable-roof stadium in Arden Hills. Common sense will eventually prevail. To date it has been too political for my taste.
