The Packers are going to have a difficult time signing most of their own free agents this year. I also suspect that GM Ted Thompson and HC Mike McCarthy like the current makeup of their team including the backs currently on the team. Signing A.P. would undoubtedly necessitate wholesale changes in the Packers' roster in order to free up salary cap room to pay Peterson.
