Packers: Most improved?

The Sporting News came out this week saying the Packers will win the NFC North Division and will be the most improved team in the NFL.
Wow, that’s a huge statement and one that has been on the mind of Packers fans for months – that is, can this team repeat?
Well, on the surface this team seems as poised as any team in the history of the league to do so.
However, there are a couple of hurdles the Packers will have to overcome to get back to the promised land: first, this team must reconnect and redevelop the chemistry they had last season; second, they must get by some tough opponents in their own division – namely the vastly improved Detroit Lions.
While I feel the Packers will deal with the competition with game planning and pure talent, I feel the chemistry thing could be  the largest hurdle.
Yes, this team gets many players back into the fold, but will they be the right fit? Will the huge expectations and players who may be playing only for a big payday disrupt the locker room?
That’s the challenge for Coach Mike McCarthy … My guess he’s up to the challenge. He seems to be a master at handling players and addressing those types of issues.
As for the competition – the Packers will have to battle the Lions to claim that most improved label … But what about the Bears? They’re pretenders. My prediction is they fall to 6-10 this season … Jay Cutler is benched by midseason and is cut at the end of the year … He will be playing in Buffalo next year.
But I digress … To get back to the Packers … Yes, getting players like Jermichael Finley, Ryan Grant, Nick Barnett, Brandon Chillar, and Mike Neal back can only make this championship team better.
When you look at these names and consider that the team won a championship without them is a little bit scary … NFL, watch out!
