Aaron Rodgers talked this afternoon about staying in shape, improving, winning another championship, the lockout, and of course, golf, during an interview with  media leading up to his participation in the 22nd annual American Century Championship golf tournament to be held in Lake Tahoe, Calif., in a couple of weeks.

While looking forward to playing golf in this great tournament, Rodgers also talked a lot about football and told reporters that the Packers are well positioned to possibly earn more than one more championship in the coming four to five years. Pain and the ability to withstand it is different from person to person … And nothing underscores that more than a recent report that came out about Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
It was reported most recently by Brandon over at Acme Packing Company that Big Ben played with a broken foot during the last part of the 2010 season, including the Super Bowl where the Packers defeated the Steelers.

It is no secret that the Packers would benefit from a reliable running game, and it is difficult to say whether or not their current running backs can carry the load. In order to guarantee that the Packers have a consistent ground attack, as is almost required in the frozen tundra during the playoffs, they may want to get an all star running back. Adrian Peterson may be that guy.

Trading for Peterson would have two advantages. First, the Packers would have a running game to take some of the load off of Aaron Rodgers. Second, the Packers would not have to play against him twice (or more) every year. … [visit site to read more]
