Something’s going to shake out of this situation … with the Packers cutting Brandon Chillar this morning, according to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, the Packers are down to the starters at inside linebacker and any undrafted free agents that will be joining camp when it opens tomorrow.
Because Chillar was injured during off-season workouts during the lockout, the questions about how the league will deal with these players remains a huge question mark and one that may be litigated down the road.
Silverstein said this morning, the rising numbers of players who are dealing with the same situation “questions about whether the league is being unfair to players who were injured while training during the lockout.”
Chillar is said to have severely pulled a hamstring during a personal workout.
I don’t think we’ve heard the last about this issue.
