I should have known better

Well, The Beatles made a hit out of it and yes, I should have known better.

Yesterday I wrote about the travesty of not allowing Mark Tauscher to make the trip with the team to the White House …

I was wrong … yes, I guess once a year isn’t so bad … hahahaha.

Mark Tauscher WAS with the team yesterday when the players, coaches and administrators met with President Barack Obama. What a great decision by the Packers organization. Though they rightfully didn’t extend an invitation to other players cut or signed to other teams during free agency, the Packers did extend the invitation to longtime right guard Tauscher.

If there was one player who deserved it, it was Tauscher. One of the most consistent and honorable Packers players of the past decade, it was great to find out that he was honored. And I’m sure he was truly honored to be there. As a Wisconsin native, a UW-Madison alumni, and just a good all-around good guy, he deserved it.

So, for those who I misled, I apologize. And to Tauscher, I say congratulations.

To the Packers, I say thank you for the thoughtful and considerate decision to include Tauscher.

Yes, I should have known better.
