Evan, I agree. Swain has been hurt anyway and may even be one of the early cuts this week unless he can get back on the field.

It would seem and perhaps merited to a degree and not the ninth, that Chastin West has earned some above average kudos for his limited play time with the assistance of one named Flynn, who by tossing a perfect pass had many a Packer fan jumping with glee and anoiting him a keeper...not so fast.

It's a truth that cannot be denied by any,the Packers do have the best and deepest WR group in the NFL.Which is also a detriment for us and the benefit of others.

Does he replace Swain, perhaps if being a #6 WR is all he needs to do but,can he replace Swain on SPTs? IDK and honestly I don't think anyone knows as just as Swain is unable to participate due to injury at WR,it appears West is as invisible on SPTs without the benefit of injury to justify it being so.

Keeping West merely for a catch now and then would be unwise at the expense of a SPT contributed period.Though that spot seems more unlikely to be retained by Swain, there are others worthy of it that will place West on the PS or elsewhere being the higher probability.

As to letting him run with the 1's against the Colts is useless as the Colts approach to pre-season is to not show up and/or dare to even show a hint of real play is/would be sacrilegious to that mantra it has glorified the last...decade.
