Packers cut Asiodu, Battles – down to 80

The second round and the final two players were released this afternoon by the Green Bay Packers.

Again, no surprises with this announcement as the Packers prepare for the fourth and final preseason game Thursday night against the Kansas City Chiefs at Lambeau Field.

In making the announcement, the Packers public relations department sent the following release:

The Green Bay Packers released second-year LB K.C. Asiodu and first-year G Adrian Battles. The transactions were announced Tuesday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.

Asiodu (ah-see-OH-due) signed with the team as a free agent on Aug. 3. Battles was on the Packers’ practice squad for the final two regular-season games and all four playoff contests last season.
