A couple of mystery situations involving the replay officials upstairs have raised some eyebrows this morning.
As many are looking at Sunday’s games, we can’t be certain about what was happening in one of those instances Buffalo.
One of these questions comes at the end of the Oakland and Buffalo game … After the game was over and the players had left the field, the replay official decided to take a look at whether the final play actually resulted in an interception. As it turns out, the call on the field stood.
Here’s what actually happened … With tongue firmly planted in cheek …
“Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz …” “hey George, George, wake up, George … George!”
“huh, what? The game’s over?”
“yeah, George, you better take a look at that last play to see if it was actually intercepted …”
“yeah, Ok. Ummmmm… Yeah sure that’s an interception. Game over … Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz …”
“George, next time let’s get it together. People are going to start talking … George? George?”
