Clearly, his actions on the field have caught the attention of the NFL, his peers and fans as evidenced by this selection. Rodgers’ play this first month of the season has been a spillover from the last half of last season.

To put it bluntly … this guy is on a roll with little on this earth showing signs of being able to slow him down. He’s got things figured out and is using his God-given talents, good coaching and the skills of those around him to his advantage.

Ok, so it’s time to rail on the officials again today … I just can’t let this one go … that is the inconsistency of the roughing the passer call we saw this past Sunday. Yesterday’s calls, two of them that I will mention here, were out of bounds, at least as I saw it from my easy chair.

The first call came in New Orleans when Roman Harper of the Saints took Jay Cutler to the ground. I can’t find anyone, even the Bears’ beat writers, who actually thought this was roughing the passer. It looked like a simple tackle to me. Nothing rough about it.

When pressed for an explanation, the official’s official response was that Harper had “continued contact” with Cutler. Puhhhlease!
