Packers’ defense in need of a bookend for Clay Matthews

AUTHOR: | IN: NFL, Packers, Player futures | COMMENTS: None Yet

We all know that Clay Matthews is an excellent outside linebacker and is in the correct defensive scheme under Dom Capers in Green Bay but statistics show that he cannot do it all by himself. Clay is tough and can play through injuries and I am not talking about just minor injuries, i.e. the hairline fracture in his leg last year … but he cannot take down an offense on his own. The other outside linebacker, be it by committee for the last two years, has been average at best. This does not allow Dom Capers to cut Clay loose [...]

NFL’s week eight surprising

AUTHOR: | IN: NFL | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

The first halves of several NFL games this week eight have been a surprise. We’ve got the Giants losing at home to the Dolphins; the Rams are beating the Saints; and the Ravens are getting smashed by the Cardinals. Strange, but remember, this is the NFL and there is still a lot of football left. Enjoy!

The Packers ARE a fun team to watch

AUTHOR: | IN: Packers | COMMENTS: None Yet

The headline about the Packers over the story below pretty much says it all. This is an incredibly fun team to watch … no 6-3 slugfests nor any games being on the wrong side of a 56-6 score. I love this story from The Ledger. I think you will, too. Take a look at the link: Clipped from: www.theledger.com (share this clip)

Green Bay Packers – highlights of the season’s first seven wins

AUTHOR: | IN: Packers, Video | COMMENTS: None Yet

It’s been a loss-less season for the Green Bay Packers as we all take a deep breath, relax and sink into this Sunday without Packers football. While Green Bay has won them all to-date, this team is far from perfect – a factor that makes this not only one of the best teams in franchise history, but probably its most likable. How can we not look back on the past seven weeks without a smile? How can we forget how the offense sliced through defenses with the precision that is Rodgers and company? How can we forget the defense that [...]

Aaron Rodgers is simply the best

AUTHOR: | IN: Aaron Rodgers | COMMENTS: None Yet

This is getting to be a habit … Wait! I think that’s what I said last week when Aaron Rodgers was named the FedEx Air NFL Player of the week. But it’s true. For the fourth consecutive week, Rodgers has won the award. His performance last Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings earned him the honor once again as he helped propel the Packers to a 7-0 record and a two-game lead over the Detroit Lions in the NFC North Division. Can he do it again this week? Wait! He can’t do it this week … It’s the Packers bye week, [...]

Bye, Bye – The Packers separate themselves from the rest of the league

AUTHOR: | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet

Bye week? What fan honestly loves the bye week? I mean, sure it gives you that chance to get away for the weekend, without missing the game on Sunday, but, honestly who really likes the bye week? We get to do yard work now, yay! All the bye week does is gives us two weeks to dissect our team. Let’s face it, we all do it. We all know the Packers are 7-0 and have the best record in football. We all know Aaron Rodgers is the favorite to win the MVP thus far. We know they have holes in [...]

Blog for the Green Bay Packers

AUTHOR: | IN: Become a blogger | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Green Bay Packers sit at 7-0, they head into the bye as the top-rated team in league power rankings, they’ve got the most consistent quarterback in franchise history since Bart Starr and they are fast becoming America’s most loved professional sports team. And I love writing, Facebooking and Tweeting about the team … I just wish there were others … several others … who might like it as much as I do. That’s why I’m reaching out to all you Packers fans out there midway through this bye week to see if there’s anyone out there who who like [...]

Packers and NFL news this ‘hump day’

AUTHOR: | IN: Packers around the Internet | COMMENTS: None Yet

It’s hump day, the middle of a week, but not just any ordinary week. It’s bye week for the Green Bay Packers, so I thought I would provide you with a few links to take a look at this morning that might brighten your view of an upcoming weekend without Packers football. Not only do we have a story about T.O.’s workout yesterday where he held the party but nobody showed up, but we have a story about Mason Crosby’s recent success and why he probably deserved to be re-signed for the next five years, an inside look at how [...]

Deion Sanders is a genius

AUTHOR: | IN: Detroit Lions | COMMENTS: None Yet

Maybe Deion Sanders knows more than most would expect. You see, it was one month ago that Sanders went on record saying he felt the Bears had a better chance of challenging the Packers for the North Division title or at least to take over second best in the division. At that time, Sanders was heard on the NFL Network saying that he “loved the Packers,” but it was the Lions who got a tongue lashing at the time … the other hosts on the program attacked Sanders and questioned his logic. Well, after the last couple of weeks, Sanders [...]
