I gotta tell ya I’m really excited about the news that the Green Bay Packers may be close to activating Tori Gurley to the active roster.
I was really pleased after he wasn’t picked up by any other teams after being cut by the Packers in the final training camp cut.
The need to promote Gurley rose today when Greg Jennings was declared out for at least a couple of weeks after spraining his knee Sunday against the Oakland Raiders.
According to published reports citing a source close to the organization, the fact that another team had expressed an interest in Gurley may be prompting the Packers to take action.
To make room for Gurley, according to the source, the Packers may place Vic So’oto on injured reserve because he has been suffering from a back injury.
Gurley, an undrafted rookie free agent out of South Carolina, he impressed many during the preseason, making a name for himself by blocking several kicks on special teams.
