Dropped passes, fumbles, hail Marys … that’s what the Packers did and allowed in the first half of their NFC Divisional Playoff Game at Lambeau Field to give the New York Giants a 20-10 halftime lead.
Good God, Packers fans across the world were stunned when the team’s defensive backs, namely Charlie Peprah, stood around and watched Hakeem Nicks come down with a hail Mary catch in the end zone on the last play of the first half – it was a half where the Giants couldn’t play much better and the Packers couldn’t have played much worse.
The question is whether this embarrassing performance by the World Champs will light a fire under them, or whether they put their tails between their legs and go home one and done after a 15-1 season and the top seed in the NFC … with 30 minutes left to play in this one, there is plenty of time.
What must they do? Stop the Giants’ passing game and score points.
