The boys, Fran Charles, Marshall Falk, and Tom Waddle (yes, that Tom Waddle who is a big Bears fan), talk about the Green Bay Packers 2011 season, the disappointing end to their incredible string of wins, and what’s ahead for the Green and Gold as they head into the future.
Seated nicely inside the stadium prior to the Pro Bowl, the triumvirate talks about just how loaded this team is and how they will only improve with the addition of draft picks at the start of a season where they will again be hungry to get back to the Super Bowl. They also debate the issue of “rust” and whether the Packers should have rested their starters at the end of the season.
In retrospect, I feel the Packers probably should have played their starters, Aaron Rodgers in particular in that final regular season game against the Detroit Lions – three weeks is a long time to be off the field for any player – even the potential MVP.
But it’s a debate that is sure to rage for years to come as other teams encounter the same question.
In the meantime, take three minutes to watch this video. It’s worth it and will surely get all Packers fans primed for the coming season … is it August yet?
