NFL news on this 4th of July 2012

The news never stops. The world news never stops and neither does the flow of information from the National Football League.

Brett Favre won't be attending the Packers Hall of Fame induction of Mike Holmgren this month.

Oh sure, it slows, like now on this 4th of July, but it never stops.

Here are a few of the highlights from today’s NFL – have a beer, brat, hot dog, hamburger – take some time to attend your town’s parade, talk to some friends, rest, relax and recharge your batteries today because we’re headed into the stretch run toward the start of another NFL season.

But before you all do that, don’t forget to remember why we love our country so much. Yes, we love football, but we also love the freedom we have to be able to enjoy the games of our lives. We live in a great country with great people and dedicated leaders. Don’t take it for granted.
