@apackphan
Respectfully,the only programs that fit the "never seem to have a down years' would be Balt and Pitt.
They more likely will continue that though to a lesser degree with what I sense a more consistant stable play of Cinn...enough to have them neck twisting.Their division wins won't come as easy and that makes other games harder.

The NFCE has struggled to offer a consistant 10 game winner with the G-Men getting right at the last moment to win two SBs..which must be applauded but none have played to a level to be lauded.Most playoff entrants from there have come via the back door entrance relying on others losses.

You make some very good points, but these are programs - like the Packers - that never seem to have down years. Regardless of what happens in the next year and one-half, I still see it as tough.

Looking at the teams listed one would feel "A Clear and Near Present Danger" is upon our Packers in the 2013 season...but I'm not part of any or a one who does and here are my whys.

This IMO is a make or break season for two QBs as in Romo and Vick not to mention the HCs of each, if the 2012 season isn't far above what has been in the most recent,lest the past few of 3-5.A miss of playoffs for either will induce changes that will encumber any hope of strength next season yet once again for the most consistently over-rated teams in the NFCE.

The AFCN would normally instill a warranted 'gasp' via two teams. but Baltimores Lewis and Reed are old and will put all efforts into this season of yet another futile attempt for a SB.Regretfully for the offense,they will be stuck in a somewhat neutral gear as they resign Flacco to a contract that will dictate such.

The Bengals are still a somewhat unknown but the play of a few young guys and Dalton may actually make them more of a threat of a loss for us than the others..even Pittsburg,who I believe will take a turn for the worse offensively as Haley steps on the toes of Ben and the sideline flare-ups produce more excitement this season and leaving ?'s for the next.

The Browns,well IMO,Weeden isn't a Miracle Worker who can lead a team any better than his recently disowned yet still owned Colt McCoy when there is no help for him.These puppies remain in a self made cage yapping and yelping for a simple taste of water called..talent.

The Shanahan and the 'Predator' named RG3 will still be trying to become viable in the division than being a threat to the Packers in Lambeau.

Lastly,lets not forget that we have shown, even regardless of the last place stats of our defense in 2011,improve each year on both sides of the ball via the TT and MM draft and develop philosophy which is unparalleled by any other.
