Packers announce player personnel moves

It’s an Injured Reserve party for the Green Bay Packers as the announcement came down from Packers officials today about cuts and moves to trim the roster to the 75 players.

The players named to the injured reserve list and the physically unable to perform list were no surprise; in addition, the two cut from the team were no surprise either.

The team public relations department released the information below this afternoon.


The Green Bay Packers placed six players on injured reserve, two on reserve/physically unable to perform, and released two players. The transactions were announced Monday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.

The Packers placed RB Du’ane Bennett, LB Desmond Bishop, TE DeMarco Cosby, G Ray Dominguez, DE Johnny Jones and WR Shaky Smithson on injured reserve. TE Andrew Quarless and LB Frank Zombo were placed on reserve/physically unable to perform.

Green Bay released FB Jon Hoese and DE Jarius Wynn.
