Tommy Thompson’s history with the Packers highlighted by this …

Tommy Thompson honored the Packers back in 1996 … or did he?

Tommy Thompson – yes that same four-times-elected governor of the great state of Wisconsin and candidate for the U.S. Senate seat – has long been a Green Bay Packers fan. There was no person more proud of his Packers as they went to back-to-back Super Bowls than was Mr. Thompson.

In fact, Mr. Push-ups was so excited when he was asked to formally read the official state resolution recognizing the Packers as the greatest organization in the greatest state with the greatest fans … well, you get the idea.

You’ve got to listen in on the governor as his pep talk ends with his boozy pronunciation of Wisconsin as “Wiscons.”

You, too, will either be giggling or shaking your head with shameful embarrassment.

But to give the 70-year-old Thompson credit, his 50 pushups for the Journal Sentinel editorial board were pretty impressive. That video is also included below.
