Former New York Giants defensive lineman Chris Canty is expected to land at Austin Straubel Airport in Green Bay sometime Wednesday and be met by Packers officials who will then chauffeur him to 1265 Lombardi Avenue for the tour of facilities and to see if he’s a good fit to join the team.
The 6-7, seven year pro free agent has drawn plenty of interest from across the league and it’s doubtful that he will leave Green Bay with a contract in hand, but hey, anything is possible and we’ve seen that happen in the past. Whether Canty plays in Green Bay or not depends on the two C’s – chemistry and the contract. If they can agree on those two aspects, then it might be a win-win. If not, both move on.
But with the news that the Packers are actually bringing in a free agent and that they seem to have an actual interest in joining the free agent fray, well that’s been news and plenty of people have been talking about it across the Internet, especially Twitter.
Here are a few that I’ve seen the past few days …
