If you’re into Madden, you know that it’s as close to the real thing as one might get during the offseason – and this provides us a look at what the hard-charging Lacy might bring to the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field.
Check out below how Lacy is shown running through around and over the Chicago Bears in this simulation. Also included is Lacy scoring touchdowns and initiating the home crowd to a new form of celebration – instead of the Lambeau Leap, we’ve got the Lacy Leap.
We can only hope that any part of what’s rendered in this Madden recreation comes true. Packers fans are hoping that both Lacy and fourth round running back selection, Johnathan Franklin, can bring a new form of Thunder and Lightning to Green Bay’s running attack – a running game that has languished for years. It hasn’t been since the short-lived stint put in by Ryan Grant that the Packers have had a semblance of a running game.
In fact, it disappeared altogether after the Packers 2010 Super Bowl run through the playoffs with James Starks leading the way.
Our only hope here at Lombardiave is that Lacy and the revamped Packers offensive line can bring the rushing attack back to what we expect.
