Here’s to hoping Desmond Bishop ends up in KC or Oakland

Green Bay Packers fans are sick and tired of hearing about their former players – including someone like Desmond Bishop – gravitating toward the Minnesota Vikings, for one reason or another.

Darren Sharper, Ryan Longwell, Brett Favre, Greg Jennings – I need not go on.

And it continues with Bishop. Even before the ink on his release papers had been signed, the announcement came over Twitter that Bishop was going to pay a visit. Really?

Hey, Bish! There are 30 other teams out there who might be interested in your services. But no, the first team named has got to be the Vikings. Rather sickening, I’d say.

It seems like if the Packers throw their dirty underwear into the dumpster out back the dogs of Minnesota are out there sniffing around.

That’s why I was relieved today to hear that the Oakland Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs have expressed an interest in bringing Bishop in for a tryout.

Today, I was asked to provide some comments about Bishop from our fansided.com sister site, arrowheadaddict.com. Basically what I told them was that nobody is really sure why the Packers released Bishop. It could have been health issues. It could have been money issues – nobody is for certain.

There’s no question in my mind that Bishop was one of the Packers best defenders in 2010 and 2011. His injury last year certainly had an impact on his release, But in my mind he still has at least a couple of more years in him.

Just not in Minnesota. KC or Oakland? OK.

Here is a link over to arrowheadaddict.com – check it out. It’s the oldest and most awesome site in the entire network.

In the meantime, let’s just keep Bishop out of the NFC North.

Hopefully this guy finds time to visit Oakland. We made moves at the linebacker position already, but we need all the help we can get stopping the run. I have nightmares of that Bucs game where Doug Martin ran all over us, racking up more than 200 yards and I think 3 touchdowns. We can not have that happen again this year, but I’m pretty confident that our D will finally be a strong unit. Adding Bishop would make us just that much more better, but one can only hope. Probably cap room won’t allow it to happen

You are worried about the Bucs? Lol

Did you see the game? DM just demolished our defense. Our D was nonexistent in that game. With the addition of Bishop, that would improve our run defense that much more. Even if he isn’t added, I think our defense has already improved this offseason, but he would just make it better

would not mind him going to the raiders . they need big time help on defense and adding him with woodson would boost that defense. i also hate that we lose anybody to the vikings their fans think they get a packer player they have already made it to the super bowl lol

There’s even an article that states that on here. Didn’t notice that until I read it, but yea that sux. Why Brett Favre went to the vikes, who knows. Should’ve just retired as a packer, and I’m sure many feel the same way
