Here’s what Tom Silverstein tweeted within the past couple of hours:
#Packers have agreed to terms with First round pick Datone Jones. Four years, 7.71 million, 6.25 guaranteed.

So, as the Packers prepare to head into their training camp this weekend they will have their full complement of rookies, including their top choice in last spring’s NFL Draft. The deal, according to published reports, is to be finalized Thursday when players take physicals.
Jones is expected to compete for a starting job with the Packers – a team that is looking for stability and consistency from its defensive linemen. Jones played in a similar defensive system while at UCLA as he will move into with the Packers.
Should Jones make the leap to the NFL and step into a starting role, he will join veterans Ryan Pickett and B.J. Raji on the Packers front line. At least on paper, it could be one of the better lines that the Packers have fielded in some time. There’s the beef with Pickett, the versatility of Raji and Jones, who many feel will be just as good stopping the run as he will be in disrupting offenses in the backfield.
We get our first shot at seeing what Jones will bring to the table when the team takes the field this weekend. No doubt, we’re all excited for the possibilities.
