You can’t afford to buy into the NFL Network’s costly package and you’re tired of watching the same old “highlights” from Packers games – now you can be one step closer to the Green Bay Packers on game day because WTMJ, the Packers Radio Network flagship station, is now going to be offering radio broadcast streaming online.
The broadcasts will be available for desktop users (sorry, no mobile options are available at this time) and will give listeners around the globe the opportunity to listen to play-by-play announcer Wayne Larrivee make the “…and there is your dagger” call. Of course, Larry McCarren’s color will also come through loud and clear for listeners.
And you won’t have to wait until the start of the regular season to enjoy all the games – the feature kicks off at 5 p.m. tomorrow night, Friday, Aug. 9, when the Packers host the Arizona Cardinals in the first game of the preseason at Lambeau Field.
Catch all the action, including pre- and post-game shows by going to the “listen Live” feature at the station’s website.
According to packers.com, here is what you get when you tune in to the Packers Radio Network:
- Packers Preview Pregame (2 hrs before kickoff)
- Packers Play-by-Play (in-game)
- Packers Playback (15 – 20 minutes after the game)
- Packers OT Postgame (2 – 2.5 hrs, following Packers Playback)
It’s not like WTMJ is new to the Packers, the station has been broadcasting the team’s games since November 1929. Today the network is made up of 50 stations across six states.
But now with the reach of this feature, the Packers will be available across the globe.
GO! Pack! GO!
