Aaron Rodgers will lead the Packers into training camp. Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

OMG! Aaron Rodgers is not at practice

The first thing everyone noticed at the Green Bay Packers training camp practice today was that Super Bowl champion, Super Bowl MVP, League MVP and all-around best quarterback in the NFL Aaron Rodgers, was missing.

Heads were scratched, pens put to paper and the question asked.

Head coach Mike McCarthy didn’t waste any time announcing that “Aaron was held from practice due to an illness. We’ll expect him to practice tomorrow.”

Yes, Aaron Rodgers gets sick, too. He is human.

He has a cold. He will get better. We can all stop worrying about the possibility that Graham Harrell would be the starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers – or would it be B.J. (I’m the only one who has thrown a TD in preseason) Coleman, or God forbid Vince Young?

No, we don’t have to worry about that fact.

But it does raise another legitimate question: When WILL the Packers announce who will be their backup quarterback. Will it come next week after the Packers’ third preseason game or will it come after the final game in the final week of camp?

McCarthy holds the answer to that question and hasn’t tipped his hand.

That is a question for which we all await.

In the meantime, we extend our get well wishes to Aaron.

Don’t scare us like that again!

If you start a headline with omg then you shouldn’t be writing sports news. Keep your emoticon crap in tabloid and shock journalism where they belong. Outside of a tweet, and it pains me to say this, there is no reason for these omg, lol, lmfa whatever. The only reason that you can use them on twitter is because of character restrictions. I really don’t care if you write a response to this, I cannot believe that you will even be able to see why a football fan would find your foul, inexcusable, and flat out uneducated style of writing to be offensive. I hope that someone holds you down Raymond, and force feeds you a mixture of human, dog, and rat feces.
