Love to follow the Packers? Lombardiave seeks news hounds

Our site, lombardiave.com continues to grow daily. We’ve got a basket filled with excellent writers who regularly contribute great content.

But we’re looking for more. We want to be the turn-to site for news and information about the Green Bay Packers. We already have a huge following of readers who love to come here for the information and perspective they can’t find anywhere else on the Web.

We appreciate our regular readers, but we’re greedy. We want more and to give them more we’re seeking writers who can man our newly-established news desk. We already have two writers who have committed their time and efforts to produce timely and interesting copy from the news desk, but we would like to have more writers who love to work on the edge – those who can bring timely information in their own words and for our special audience.

Here’s how it works: We are looking for individuals who can block off a 3- to 4-hour time span to man our desk. No, you don’t have to come into the office and sit behind a desk. It’s all from the comfort of your most relaxing location. During that time period (and you can set that time for whenever you want), we will ask that you produce at least one story per hour for a total of 3 to 4 per shift. If you can do more, that’s even better! These are stories about the Packers or Packers-related topics (upcoming opponents, NFC North teams and the like).

And they don’t have to be long. Readers want information, they want it now, and they want it in digestible chunks. The only stipulation is that they are at least 200 words long so that they get picked up by Google News.

We will help train you, but we’re not doing brain surgery here – we’re talking about what’s new and great (or not so great) about the Green Bay Packers.

But to be perfectly clear, you won’t get rich. In fact, you won’t see a dime. Our staffers do this because they love the Packers and they love to write. The biggest reward is seeing your words in print, published for the entire world to see. In fact, our words and pictures are spread across the globe with a content partnership with Sports Illustrated. You won’t be writing FOR SI.com, but all lombardiave.com posts are shared on the SI.com Packers page. Check it out here.

If you’re interested in becoming a part of Lombardiave.com and our parent company, FanSided.com, submit an application here.

When you get to the part about which FanSided site you would like to work for – don’t forget to indicated lombardiave.com. If you’ve got some writing samples, include one.

Should you have any specific questions before applying you may send me a direct email to [email protected]

I hope to hear from you soon.
