College Football Kickoff: Scouting Potential Future Green Bay Packers

The 2013 college football season starts tonight and many fans will be watching for their favorite team but some of these players could be playing for the Green Bay Packers this time next year.

The start of college football also means that there is one week until the biggest sports league in America starts back up. Football is back tonight and here is a look at a few players that could be Packers in the future.

AlabamaHa Ha Clinton-Dix vs. Virginia Tech

Ha Ha Clinton-dix has one of the craziest names I think I have ever seen but don’t let the name fool you. No opposing quarterback is going to be laughing at the Alabama especially with this man on the field. Ha Ha Clinton-Dix was very impressive last season with five interceptions including getting an interception in both the SEC Championship and the BCS National Championship. Ha Ha Clinton-Dix would be able to come in and immediately start at free safety with Morgan Burnett going to strong safety if the current Crimson Tide player went to Green Bay. Green Bay fans should make sure to watch the Alabama-Virginia Tech to see Ha Ha Clinton-Dix who could be a Packer in the future.

North Carolina OT James Hurst vs. South Carolina

Depending on the development of David Bakhtiari, this man may not be a potential Packer in the future but UNC left tackle James Hurst could be the first round pick for Green Bay depending on the success of this season for the offensive line. Hurst will have a real challenge, however, in his first game against superstar pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney who has the talent to become the second defensive player to win the Heisman joining Charles Woodson. Hurst has the raw talent to be a very good offensive tackle at the next level but this test from Jadeveon Clowney will show how good James Hurst really is right now.

James Hurst has been anywhere from late first round to second round so far on draft boards and this is a great chance for him to shine right at the beginning of the season.

Notre Dame DE Stephon Tuitt vs. Temple

The Packers have an issue with the fact that they have to play BJ Raji at DE instead of nose tackle because the Packers lack a better option opposite Datone Jones at DE with Mike Daniels not developing as well as many thought. Stephon Tuitt plays a 3-4 DE for the Fighting Irish and he thrived with 12 sacks last year for the Fighting Irish who made a run to the BCS National Championship before being blown out by Alabama. Tuitt will have a chance to show that 2012 wasn’t just a fluke year for him and the Temple game i
