Since the Green Bay Packers are off this week, I am going to devote a little more attention to my fantasy football team.
Too bad I did not pay enough attention when I attended our league’s in-person draft. Since that ship is sailed, I am going to need some help.
I drafted #3 in our draft this season and I had wanted Adrian Petersen or Arian Foster. Unfortunately, they were drafted #1 and 2. Enter Packers QB Aaron Rodgers. I play in a two QB league and I figured that I would take care of that position as soon as I could. So I have Indy QB Andrew Luck as well. My problem this week is that I have to sit Rodgers and Cobb and play Luck and St Louis Ram Sam Bradford as my QBs.
Bradford has, of course, already played (if you could call it that). For WRs, I have Emmanuel Sanders, Dwayne Bowe, and Tampa Bay’s Mike Williams. Not exactly Hall of Fame timber. At TE, I have Antonio Gates, Owen Daniels and Tyler Elfert. I am probably stuck with Gates, who has been inconsistent for me in the past.
At RB this week, I have Frank Gore, who ran for more than 100 yards and a TD. That is a plus. My other RBs include NY David Wilson, Denver’s Knowshon Moreno, SD Ryan Matthews, and our own James Starks. I will probably be cutting him soon. My defense is the Denver Broncos and my K is Matt Prater from Denver. So, as you can see, I really was not paying much attention to my fantasy draft. Like the Packers, I am 1-2. I think the win was a gift and entirely fueled by Rodgers’s performance against Washington two weeks ago. I could use some help so if anyone has some suggestions, feel free to offer them. I can’t do much worse.
