Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions: Lions bloggers thinking Packers will win

Sidelionreport.com is one of the top Detroit Lions websites on the Web and one of the oldest and most successful sites under the FanSided.com’s umbrella – one that is on top of all things Detroit Lions.

That said, the site editor Zac Snyder published a post today with seven of his staffers sounding off with their predictions about the Packers vs. Lions game tomorrow. One would think that the staffers would be frothing with excitement to call this one in favor of the Lions.

Not so.

What I found over at the site were five of the seven staffers picking the Packers … albeit all of them predicting a close score and most likely a shootout. Most figured a track meet will ensue tomorrow with scores in the 30s for both teams.

While we at Lombardiave are still collecting our weekly predictions from our contributing staffers today with our prediction post scheduled to go live tomorrow morning, I’m thinking most of us over here are thinking the same thing. There might be a couple of us who pick the Lions … and I wouldn’t be totally surprised if they turned out to be right.

However, there are just too many factors pointing toward the Packers. Green Bay is coming off the bye, have had time to rest their injured starters and will be getting one important cog in the defensive picture back – safety Morgan Burnett. Throw in the fact that Matthew Stafford always throws a couple of pitches to our guys and the fact that the Packers have a healthy Aaron Rodgers and it seems the Packers will be ready to leave Lambeau Field with their second home victory of the season.

But I urge you to click on over to the Sidelionreport.com for the latest on what that fine staff are saying. Some of it may surprise you; some of it may not.

All of it will play out tomorrow afternoon. No doubt, win … lose … or draw it should be a lot of fun.

Stay tuned …
