Green Bay Packers vs. Baltimore Ravens: Live game chat

Here we are once again – game day – today’s matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Ravens will kick off at noon and we will be here once again talking, chatting, complaining, shouting and the whole works.

Considering the Packers play the Super Bowl champion today adds a new dimension to this particular game. The Super Bowl champ always has a big target on their backs and beating the world champ clearly gives a team bragging rights – at least for one more week.

It’s a long season and every game is important. There comes times during the season, however, when specific games take on added meaning. This is one of them. The Packers are 2-2 and the Ravens are 3-2. Both teams have been inconsistent, but it seems that the Packers defense … the side of the ball that has been dormant for a long time – has seemed to come alive. But without Clay Matthews in the mix, how will the team respond?

This is simply one of those statement games that would lift the Packers back into the elite status of the NFL. The Packers were in the top 5 of power rankings as the season started. Since then, they have dropped a half dozen spots because of their inconsistency. Today is the time to regain the respectability.

In the meantime, here is an infographic provided by http://oak.ctx.ly/r/ekjg. It shows how the two teams matchup … it doesn’t tell the entire story, but gives us a thumbnail look at where the two teams stack up.

Take a look and then scroll down to the comment field and leave your comments throughout the game. We would love as many Packers fans (and Ravens fans!) to join us. We keep it clean and fun. Join us.

Hey there’s a Jermichael Finley sighting

  • Dan Turczynski

What a drive by GB. Have to finish it.

  • Mike Charron

Very nice sustained drive. Much like an NFL offense.

  • RayRivard

    Huge drive. nee points

  • RayRivard

Third and three. Who gets the ball?

    • Mike Charron

If I had to bet, unfortunately, it would be a pass behind the line of scrimmage.

  • RayRivard

    Now out of timeouts. Sheesh

  • RayRivard

Again, I say, third and three … who gets the ball?

    • Tom Mrozla

I need a Lacy TD right now! Fantasy Football

      • Tom Mrozla

        Shucks!

    • Mike Charron

      Eddie Lacy

  • Tom Mrozla

we’ll need another bye after this one…

    • RayRivard

      ahahahahahaha. Good one, Tom

  • Mike Charron

    Field Goal Unit – Yeah

  • RayRivard

Crosby 4-of-5 on FGs. Two possession game. What will the defense have to say about that?

  • Mike Charron

If this trend continues Rodgers won’t have to stress about being asked to do any more commercials.

  • Dan Turczynski

That’s 9 field goals for Crosby in the last two games. Good for him, horrible for the team.

  • RayRivard

The Packers simply can’t score inside the red zone.

    • Mike Charron

Too predictable with the play calling. Used to be where Finley was a weapon, now he’s a ghost.

  • RayRivard

Banjo my man with the big tackle

  • Dan Turczynski

    Woah A.J. Hawk!

  • Mike Charron

Another Blitz – What a surpise.

  • RayRivard

Hawk again! Third sack of the game.

  • Mike Charron

Harbaugh Still Zombified. What happened to this team ?

  • Mike Charron

    4th and 21 !

  • Mike Charron

    Are you kidding me !!!!!!!

  • RayRivard

4th and 21 … are you kidding me?

  • RayRivard

    This can’t be happening

  • Dan Turczynski

    HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHA

  • Mike Charron

This Packer team is too much. So glad I haven’t spent any money to actually travel to Lambeau this year.

  • RayRivard

    This game has it all

    • Mike Charron

      This game sucks Ray.

  • RayRivard

The Packers have no timeouts … don’t fumble the ball

  • Mike Charron

Packers are pathetic in so many aspects. Let’s see if they can at least steal one in this POS game.

  • RayRivard

I can’t disagree with you more, Mike. This is a classic football game, win or lose.

    • Mike Charron

What, maybe like the Tampa Bay Bucs and the Lions when they both went 0′ fer the season. This isn’t NFL caliber football.

  • Dan Turczynski

Great play. have to stay in bounds

  • RayRivard

    FINLEY

  • Mike Charron

Lacy tackled by his own shoe laces. C’Mon.

  • RayRivard

    Run the clock now.

  • Mike Charron

Moose Johnston is stupefied by the piss poor play on the field.

  • RayRivard

Lacy with more than 100 yards. How about a run for one right here

  • Dan Turczynski

Eddie Lacy seals his best game as a pro with a great effort there. Very impressive.

  • RayRivard

Beautiful. great job of getting down to close out this game

  • Tom Mrozla

at least Lacy knew enough to stay in bounds. Nice WIN!

  • RayRivard

Packers, 3-2, come home to host the Cleveland Browns.

  • RayRivard

    This is a huge win.

  • David Burdette

    Smart play by Lacy.

  • Mike Charron

Ravens should play in the Sucker Bowl with the Redskins. Another win over a nasty looking team but a win is a win. Wow !

  • RayRivard

That is the best win of the year. Beating the Super Bowl Champion at their house. This is a statement game for the Packers and puts them over 500 for the first time
