NFL: Here’s our picks for the weekend

With the exception of wanting to watch the National Football League today for our fantasy picks, Packers fans might elect to take a walk or a bike ride, but in the meantime let’s take a run around the league and provide our picks – just for the fun of it.

Mind you, this is off the top of my head, is very unscientific and is last minute. But hey, I don’t care … it’s all for fun.

Chiefs
12:00 PM (CT)
Bills

This one might be a defensive battle and I’m

going with the upset. After all, the Chiefs have to lose

at some point … Bills 20 Chiefs 17

Falcons
12:00 PM (CT)
Panthers

The Falcons continue their slide into oblivion and Cam Newton

continues his rise as the second half of the season gets under way.

Panthers 24 Falcons 17

Vikings
12:00 PM (CT)
Cowboys

The Vikings, well what can we say … they don’t have a

chance in hell today. Jerry Jones’s sideline appearance won’t

bother anyone today … Cowboys 38 Vikings 13

Saints
12:00 PM (CT)
Jets

The Jets have a decent defense and could make a game of this, but

Drew Brees will find a way to win

Saints 23 Jets 16

Chargers
12:00 PM (CT)
Redskins

The Redskins and RGIII will continue to show improvement

but Philip Rivers and the Chargers will win a close one on the road

Chargers 28 Redskins 27

Titans
12:00 PM (CT)
Rams

One of the sleeper games of the day. If you wake up from your

nap at the end you might find that the Rams have won by a slim

margin … Rams 17 Titans 14

Eagles
3:05 PM (CT)
Raiders

The Chip Kelly experiment takes another nosedive today as the

Raiders win at home. Raiders 28 Eagles 23

Buccaneers
3:05 PM (CT)
Seahawks

Really? Do they have to play this game?

Seahawks 40 Buccaneers 9

Ravens
3:25 PM (CT)
Browns

Slugfest here … Blam! Pow! Crunch!

Ravens 13 Browns 12

Steelers
3:25 PM (CT)
Patriots

The Steelers have been playing better and the Patriots always seem

to surprise. Patriots 22 Steelers 17

Colts
7:30 PM (CT)
Texans

Over the past few years, this has been a rivalry, but that was before

Peyton left and the Texans were good. Colts 32 Texans 20

Monday, November 4

Bears
7:40 PM (CT)
Packers

The Bears don’t have Jay Cutler or Lance Briggs, but that’s just

an excuse. The Packers would win even with those two guys on

the field. Packers 34 Bears 17
