If you were to be a General Manager in one of the three major sports in America, Baseball, Football and Basketball, which sport do you think would be the most difficult or easiest to win  an NBA Championship, a Super Bowl or a World Series?

Look at Wisconsin’s professional sports teams – the Brewers, Bucks and Packers. The Packers in the last 40 years (1973) has won two championships and lost in another championship game, while the Brewers have gone to the World Series once and lost, and the Bucks haven’t come close to a Championship since before Nixon was in office.

On order to win in baseball, it’s all about pitching and keeping the ARMS healthy.  In football it’s about having an elite quarterback, an elite cornerback, an elite pass rusher and an anchor at left tackle.

In the NBA it’s about having a superstar and all the benefits that comes with it like corrupt officiating and special officiating treatment with star players. You have a marquee guy and your chances greatly increase, not only because of the talent of the player but because it buys you favorable calls with NBA referees.

So with basketball and it’s 15-man roster, and baseball with its 25-man roster and football with a 53-man roster, if you were starting out as GM, and you were put in the GM’s chair and you could build a team from scratch, which sport would be the most difficult to win a championship?
