The Green Bay Packers spiral of the last three weeks has contributed to an overwhelming amount of stress to my “football Sundays.”
This stress, coupled with my love and adoration for the Packers, has created some delirium, anxiety, and a “gut” check. I am here to say that I, Kevin Dickens Jr., am here to tell Packers Nation that I found myself guilty as charged in the court of diehard Packers fans.
What, you may ask, are the charges?
Well give me a second to tell you …
I find myself guilty as charged in believing that, contrary to recent showings, the Packers are still better than everyone on their schedule since the injury to our beloved leader, Aaron Rodgers. It is the stubbornness in my soul. The deep, deep gut feeling that continues to reside in me.
The “You can’t tell me nothing” perspective about the Green Bay Packers that still leads me to believe this team still has the talent, fortitude, toughness, and will to hold on to the chance to win this division and secure a playoff spot.
Our mettle tested. Our desire put to the test.
This team will not fade into the night without a fight. Yes they may find themselves pushed to the brink of no return with doubters in every corner imaginable, but this is the GREEN BAY PACKERS. With all our might. With an unwavering fanbase to support until the end of time. Sticks and stones may break our bones, but with these words THERE SHALL BE REDEMPTION.
Hakuna Matata. It means no worries for the rest of your days. Yes, no worries because I am guilty as charged in knowing that everything is going to be alright. The storm before was unrelenting and malicious, but the worst is behind us.
There are brighter days ahead. So I take a deep breath. Shrug off the losses. And say again …
GUILTY AS CHARGED, folks. Green and Gold all over my hands as evidence that I shall not lament in my dedication as a fan to the ultimate goal: Returning the Lombardi back to TITLETOWN.
GO PACK GO!!!
