Green Bay Packers: These guys deserve some credit

Love-Hate would most likely describe the relationship the fans have with the Green Bay Packers as of late.

Most Packers fans probably cannot wait until Aaron Rodgers is back under center taking the snaps. I mean, Rodgers is the face of the franchise and his name is synonymous with success within the Packers organization. So, it’s only natural to want him back. The good news is that the Green Bay Packers could be getting him back very soon along with another key player, Randall Cobb.

Before that happens, however, it’s important to give credit where credit is due. The Packers wouldn’t be in the position they are in without the hard work in three key games. Sure, the Packers didn’t win in five straight weeks but this season has told us way more about the Green Bay Packers than we previously knew. In three of their last four games, the Packers have overcome large deficits to either tie or win the game.  In week 12, it was 16 points against the Vikings.

In week 14 it was an 11-point deficit at halftime the Packers erased to get the win against the Atlanta Falcons.  Then, in week 15 it was a 23-point comeback against the Dallas Cowboys that kept the Packers in the playoff hunt.

If it wasn’t for those games, The team would simply be playing meaningless games to finish out the season. It’s not just one player either who helped turn those games around.  It seems like the second half of games we’ve seen a completely different Green Bay team. From the quarterback to the secondary making big plays down the stretch.

The Green Bay Packers could have simply given up but they haven’t. They have kept fighting.

Now look, thanks to the fight these guys have , they are now in the position where to control their own playoff destiny – a place that just a month ago looked like a galaxy far, far away.

What a ride this has been.
