Don’ get me wrong here folks. I would have LOVED to hear news that #12 would be behind center come Sunday, but the odds of that occurring to me were always pretty slim. Collarbone breaks/fractures are tricky, DELICATE injuries. So the Packers must prepare Matt Flynn.
Despite Dallas having that bad of a defense that comeback takes courage folks. To be down 26-3 to win 37-36 means TRIPLING your opponent’s point output. Packers outscored Dallas 34-10 in the second half to keep their season alive. That takes brass.
At home against a Steelers defense that, albeit ranked eighth against the pass in yardage, takes lots of chances with blitzing and Troy Polamalu. The Packers beat Dick Lebeau’s boys at that game chess match recently. And there haven’t been a lot of changing faces in that secondary.
If Flynn is accurate and heady as he has been the last two weeks, the Packers could be looking at a very impressive result.
