I know, I know … this season isn’t over yet … we haven’t heard the fat lady sing and depending on how the Green Bay Packers finish the 2013 regular season will not only affect whether they win the NFC North Division and head to the playoffs, but it will also affect the 2014 regular season schedule.

Yes, we’re looking forward to the Packers’ 2014 home and away schedule, which was set this past week – only two games, one away and one on the road, is yet to be set and won’t be until the final standings are posted at the end of week 17.

For certain, this is how we will see the schedule next season:

Home: Chicago, Minnesota, Detroit, Atlanta, Carolina, New England, New York Jets, and an NFC East team depending on where the Packers finish in the 2013 standings.

Away: Chicago, Minnesota, Detroit, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Buffalo, Miami, and an NFC West team depending on standings.

In addition to playing twice against the rivals of the NFC North Division, the Packers will take on the teams from the AFC East – an interesting schedule, considering the teams in that division are historically very good. Those match-ups will bring the likes of Tom Brady and the Jets circus to town, while the Packers will have to travel to Buffalo and Miami. Also on the schedule are games against the NFC South teams of Atlanta, Carolina, Tampa Bay and New Orleans – and judging the quality of competition in that division the Packers will again have their hands full.

It’s a long way off as we see it, but the Packers are no doubt already planning for the coming year.

The 2 undecided opponents, NFC West and NFC East, will it be the same team as we are as far as if we finish 2nd we then get their 2nd place team?

I want to play at ARIZONA not at Seattle or San Fran. In that case I guess I would want the Lions to win and pass us.
As far as the NFC East team, I’d love a rematch with the Eagles next year with us having our real QB.
