The sting is beginning to wear off from The Green Bay Packers‘ heartbreaking 23-20 playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

A bit.

So now we stare down an offseason that will be filled with personnel turnover.

Ten of the Packers’ soon-to-be free agents are on the offensive side of the ball; some played critical roles this season, while others did not. It’s almost always sad to see a player you’ve rooted for sign with another team (and I say “almost” largely in remembrance of Erik Walden), but in the NFL, it is an inevitability.

Perhaps quarterback Aaron Rodgers – who, thankfully, is not a free agent – summed it up best following Sunday’s loss.

“It’s frustrating,” he said during the post-game presser. “In the locker room, everybody’s disappointed. Tomorrow is the toughest day of the year because it’s the end and guys go their separate ways. Today’s probably tied for the toughest, as well. It’s the last time this group of guys is going to be together. It’s frustrating. We did some great things this year but we came up a little short.”

With that in mind, here are a few predictions, split into “Goodbyes” and “Welcome Backs”:
