Aaron Rodgers: Tread lightly and 'Swift-ly' this off-season

Much of the focus thus far this off-season for the Green Bay Packers has been on the draft and how they can improve for next season.

If you’re interested in the 2014 draft prospects, this post isn’t for you. However, if you’re interested in Aaron Rodgers and what he’s been up to this off-season, look no further.

A while back, many rumors surfaced that questioned Rodgers’ sexuality.

Not long after the rumors surfaced he made it clear that he “really, really liked women,” on his weekly radio show. He wasn’t even asked about the rumors, he could have simply ignored them.

Last week, Rodgers was seen hanging out with pop-star Taylor Swift. Rodgers and Swift were spotted at Lucky Strike bowling alley in Los Angeles where they had gone to an after-party for a new movie. Swift had actually attended with a friend, but spent the night getting friendly with Rodgers. If anyone was going to steal your friend for the night, who better than Aaron Rodgers, right?

Swift who has formerly been paired with icons of heterosexuality like John Mayer, Joe Jonas, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Taylor Lautner makes a living off of writing songs about her past boyfriends. Her past boyfriends then suffer a harsh image and are consequently seen in a negative light.

Taylor Swift is great, don’t get me wrong, but like an offensive line we don’t want something bad to happen to Rodgers. We don’t want to hear any songs like “Dear Aaron,” “Football to Burn,” or “Cold as Lambeau” (these will be trademarked to prevent Swift from benefiting from me either) so it will be important for Rodgers to tread lightly with this one.

He may want to keep those football pads handy for those Taylor Swift songs can deliver a harder hit than the Chicago Bears defense.
