Today's Lombardiave Q&A: Country boy looking to hit it big in NFL Draft

The buzz across the nation and the NFL Draft conversation has been mixed since the workouts at the NFL Combine.

Some players are said to be falling, while some jumped out at the Combine and are rising Draft boards across the league.

Today we head south – way south – to spend some time with a guy who is just a simple guy who loves to hunt, fish and spend time on the farm – but in his spare time has won three national championships …

Who is it? C’mon back in a few minutes to check it out …

And while today’s prospect isn’t producing the buzz like an Aaron Donald, that’s OK with him. He’s ready to take the next step in his football career, whatever that may be. He’s overcome injuries and has worked hard to get to where he’s at. He even talks a bit about the possibility of playing for the Green Bay Packers.

Lombardiave’s Dan Dahlke asks today’s interesting questions. Here’s a short snippet of what you will find in today’s prospect’s answers:

I remember being eight or nine wearing my Brett Favre jersey at home watching the Super Bowl and it was Favre against Elway and the Broncos. I just remember always being a Favre fan and watching the Packers. I have also watched some film this past year on the Packers guard Josh Sitton, and I noticed he looked pretty good. I like how Green Bay was running the same slide protections we were … When I was watching it, I was thinking to myself I could do that.

In addition to today’s piece today, you can catch up and read about the many other prospects we’ve featured in this continuing series. We will continue to publish five per week over the next three weeks, so don’t forget to come back daily for this entertaining and informative series.
