You might not believe it, but we are moving closer to the start of the regular season for the Green Bay Packers.
Yes, in fact it’s a mere 100 days until we will be pulling on our Aaron Rodgers, Eddie Lacy and Clay Matthews jerseys … heck, even a few of you may have already run out and purchased your Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Jared Abbrederis and Colt Lyerla jerseys by then.
Sept. 4, 2014 – the day of reckoning for the Green Bay Packers or just another NFL opener against the Super Bowl champs on national TV?
Either way, it should be an outstanding day and night for all football fans. We are certainly ready to take on the Seattle Seahawks and their “12th Man.”
But to get there, we’ve got another three-plus months of preparations; three months of OTAs, training camps and roster cutdowns. Three months of baseball, barbecues and mowing the grass.
But in the meantime, I will be helping everyone countdown until the day of reckoning.
Starting tomorrow, if I can pull myself off the beach here in south Jersey, I will be posting the countdown starting at 99 and using the number to highlight some of the best, worst and most famous (or infamous) players who have worn that number for the Green and Gold.
It should be a lot of fun and I hope you come along for the ride as we not only recount the player greats, but get more excited with each passing day.
Stay tuned …
